    Removing tint... HOW?

My 85 has some ugly ass purple tint on the rear 3 windows and I am wondering if there is any special method to removing tint besides a razor blade. Any suggestions or links to how to's would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Mine did too, when I bought it. I took it out the same week. Go to Wallyworld. They have a spray bottle in the automotive section that helps remove the tint, it makes the glue let go very easily. I bought this 5 or 6 years ago there, but I think they still have it. I think it's mixed in with all of the POS car paraphenalia like fuzzy dice and baby mirrors and sh*t.

Easy as hell. Get some amonia and put it in a spray bottle and cover your interior. spray straight ammonia down onto it and let it sit in the sun or use a heat gun to heat the glass from the outisde.

Then after the glass is almost too hot to touch just use a knife to get the edge free and it should pull off in one big sheet. If its tearing spray ammonia on the backside between the tint and window and pull slowly. I got all mine off in about 30 minutes (front, side and back windows).
      Im now E30less.

Don’t touch the defroster lines with a razor blade.
From what I hear the ammonia method works best.
I’m taking my rear window out this weekend to get rid of purple tint.
