interior light mount and crazy gas guage

long story made short my friend broke the mounts on the light mounted on the passanger side headliner.
is there any way to fix this???

also
my gas guage will jump around and never gives me a correct reading. i read in another posting that it might just be a ground wire but where is this ground wire. also what else might this be?

Superglue and duct tape..

And Could be the sending unit.
