what is your opnion on suede steering wheels?

i am going to recover my M-tech 1 wheel, but have'nt decided on material yet.

have you driven with them? what was it like?
do they last? will they need to be recovered often?
do they get too dirty too quick?
and are they hard to clean?

please let me know your experices.

Don't do it, they look like crap after a couple years as the oils in your hands flatten it is the most common positions, and darkens it.

Hey guys,
Does anyone know where to get a spacer for M-Tech 2 wheel, I got '91 325i that came with air bag of course, that I am trying to get rid off???
It fits on the column just fine but I have a space between the wheel and plastic column covers approx 3/4"?!
