    euro cluster help

    OK, need some help.

The top is a motometer euro "i" cluster. The lower is a VDO usa "i" cluster.
See the green lower bracket? That makes provides a connection for the "night" lights.

How the fetch can I get the euro to light up?

    Thanks!

Just take the green part off of the one and put on the euro.

        ok, more weirdness.

I just have determined that it is the bulbs themselves. (easy swap) but what is that green connector for?

You may or may not use it. It provides various speedometer related outputs, including the O2 sensor light if you had a 318i, the cruise control output, and on some cars a signal to the DME. If you don't have cruise control, you can leave it off.
