The rear left window on my convertible goes down fine, but gets stuck coming up. Yesterday I sprayed a ton of WD40 down the guides and that helped, but it still sticks. I want to properly inspect, clean, lube and/or replace the moving parts. It appears that the only way I'll have access to anything is by removing the regulator.
To do so, it looks like all I have to do is undo the electrical connector, then remove three nuts holding it in place. However, two of the nuts are on bolts with Allen wrench holes in them. So, to whoever has removed these regulators in the past, did you need to hold the bolt with an Allen wrench while you removed the nuts? If so, how the hell did you do it?
Thanks. Dave
