yesterday i picked up an Mtech 2 wheel from a friend and well it had seen better days.. like most 18+ year old steering wheels have



but with a little loving... paint... sand paper... conditioner... and leather cleaner i was left with what looks like a pretty damn good wheel

^ i think you need dye on leather not paint.

Believe it or not, black shoe polish woudl have worked too with excellent results. You would apply the shoe polish (for LEATHER shoes) just as you would do it to a pair of shoes - apply it, buff it all out and the results are great. The shoe polish will not hurt or degrade the leather surface either, since it's made for leather products anyway.

I'm not sure how long the "paint" will last on a steering wheel, but if the car is used daily you may experience the same type of wear again.

the paint has not cracked or peeled yet, and its a DD car... i mean if i really cared about the wheel i would have bought a new one, but i wanted to mainly test out my skills and yes shoe polish works wonders too...
as for tilting, no we cant... or at least not very easily
