Opening a stuck glove box?

The last few times i tried opening it and was giving me a hard time...

We'll it's completely stopped, something inside the latch musta broke, and i can't open it, tried the key, nothing....it's like its permently locked.

Whats the best way to open it? I have a spare, from what i can tell if i break off the two sides of the latch, i'll be able to drill out the screws. Once the screws are out will i be able to open it? (i think so just want to be sure)

Just want to advice before i go in there and break the latch off....

I have done this at the yard many times and found some treasure in teh glove box before. Unhidge the four bolts holding it in the back side. Pull the lever and try to release it. If it doesnt let the glove box hang and then take a dremel or sawzall and cut around the outside so only the lock is hanging. Turn the lock slightly and it should come out with ease.

or just snap the handle part off and open it by the J hook/lever behind the handle. and yea...if you break the handle off, and drill out the screws the box will drop. best of luck to ya...its a bitch...
