    Rearview mirror plate

SO I went to pop out my rearview mirror because it was loose. I started to push on it like normal and the plate that it hols into came out with it. It looks to be that the loose issue was due to a broken rivet but the other 2 are still intact. The problem now being the rivets were set into place prior to the roof are the car being put on so now I cant even buy a new plate and have it riveted back into place. If anyone has had this issue or nows anything about it and how to fix it please help me.

Picture of where it came out of?

I don't see why you couldn't drill some holes and use pop rivets or a couple bolts with nuts tacked in.

If you remove your check panel and your mirror and look up that would be the plate I am showing you in the pics

Cover that hole and glue a convertible or e36 mirror to the windshield.
