    MOMO super anatomic shift knob

I found a deal on a new OG MOMO knob, and I don't like the way it looks in the car. Specifically, it's too tall.

The MOMO knob has three set screws that hold it to the lever, so I don't have to worry about losing the groove on the factory lever. As long as there's a uniform surface for the set screws, the knob will work fine.

How much height can I hack off the shift lever without screwing up the action?

an inch or less. the shift lever tapers as it goes down so dont take off too much or you'll be fucked. i took off too much and it was a nightmare. 3/4" would probably be ok

id stop at the last thread. those set screws will have a hard time gripping just the smooth metal. if the threads are there it has a little more to work with.

momo made a short anatomic also ya know?

I have big hands, so the SA fits me better. What do you mean by "last thread"? The shifter isn't threaded.

I did not realize tha the shifter tapers. Thanks for the heads-up.
