BMW E36 M3 Steering Wheel Airbag- on e30

Ok I searched and did not find anything on this so if anyone has tried this let me know. My brother has it on his M Coupe and it's good and you keep the Air Bag.
    I have a e30 09/92 convertible....

They claim that it will fit an e30!!!???

I would imagine the spline would be different... and the distance would be real off /... either too close to you or the adjuster knobs. I woudl also imagine the rear hub would be different size and it would look mad wierd.

This will not work. The splines are different and the airbag computer uses different signals, making it completely unsafe as an airbag. There are ways to modify the splines, but it isn't easy.

True, but did you read how much work was involved? Plus, he does everything to the best it can be, to his taste. I can imagine it would cost us normal people a bit to do. Also, his was the sport wheel from an E39 iirc. I'm not sure what he did to get the airbag to work, or if he tested it (I doubt it).

I don't think he shared how he did it, probably because he doesn't want people messing around with airbags while following his instructions. Also his wheel was out of an e46
