If you are talking about the ones on the side of the car near the rear seat, you will need to pop up the bottom rear seat. Just pull up on the bottom. Then, peel back the little flaps near the chassis on the side. It should be 2 10mm bolts. After this, you can remove the rear seats. After this, the side panels should just pop out.
I can take pics if you get stuck.

hmm.. so i got the new ones in.. they came out of an eta so they have this godawful chrome window lining.. EEK.. i might see if i can swap it out with the black plastic lining that my tan panels had.

On another note, the window trim doesn't match up right next to the window, its got a noticeable gap on both sides, that can be solved if i just push the trim in close to the window, so there must be way of securing it in the closer position.. suggestions?

Have you snapped the piece into place? I assume you have, What about if you slide the rear seat back in? Would it not push the side panels back where they were?

the panels are snug against the sidewall, and all the grommets are snapped back into place, but at the very top, where the trim is, it just doesn't meet up with the little channel that it used to
