I have an 1990 325i and I have a chance to buy some e36 really nice leather seats for cheap. I know the front seats fit, but the bolt holes do not line up. Can you weld in new bolts and nut? Has anyone ever done this? The back bottom seat fits, but the vertical section is in 4 pieces and I don't see how to make this work. Anyone ever done it?
It might be easier to make front seats work by making a new mount from metal bar stock that bolts to the bottom of new seat and to the original floor mounting point.
How much are aftermarket seats? Any suggestions where to buy them? Ever hear of these guys: http://www.worlduph.com/bmw5.htm#Seat. No prices on their website, but I think I will call them Monday.

What about Sparco Evo 2s? Anyone have any picutes of those in an e30?

What other model of 3 series sport seats will fit into an e30?
I am wondering more along the lines of something from an e36 or e46...
I'm working on dropping a pair of E36 leather sport seats in my E30. I'm planning on fabbing brakets for it. They are pretty tight in there, but will fit and once done and will make a nice upgrade over the old, torn sport seats. I'll post photos when done.
