Just passing by. Today is a quiet and rainy day. I sent my orders to the machine shop for the month. And I have a fetish for Recaro seats... ;-)

BTW The latest batch of adpaters is now black zinc plated. It has a satin finish, it is gorgious and will resist rust way longer than a powder coated part.

The adapters shown above work with Recaro seats on original e30 sliders. The front is raised by 20mm or 4°. The Facebook links has albums showing compatibity with Recaro seats.

I love the recovered factory houndstooth Recaro LS' in my E30 but they're mounted totally parallel to the floor. In a perfect world, I'd mount them on some brackets that were slightly tilted up in the front to achieve a bit more of a bucket seat feel.

Does anybody make this sort of bracket or adapter?

This is something that bothered me also, only a little anyway. I put a few washers under the front but ideally would have wanted more.

Does that bracket work with the standard seat? Can the standard seats brackets be modified to give more tilt?

Can you Recaro experts help me determine if these seats are Recaro SE? That is my best guess.

If so, what do you think they are worth?

Picked up this LX(?) pretty cheap because it was missing the adjuster knob. Got it home, tried using vice grips etc around the bit that the knob goes into and could not get it to adjust at all. It seems to be jammed in place.

Anyone had Recaros jam in position before and have you been able to fix it?

yes, VAC mounts work w/ Recaro too...but confirm it w/ them to be sure...Im 99% sure.

They are a well known item and a well known race shop.

several ways.....

one way is to buy floor mounts from VAC in the USA....then bolt the sparco side mounts to the VAc floor mounts....done.

I have the set up in my e30 track car.....

there may b cheaper ways..but this way is bolt in ez...

will recaro side mounts bolt to the vac floor mounts?
