Thanks Lee. I ended up getting these today...they need some work but overall they are pretty sound. They have brackets and partial sliders from an E21. It'll be fun getting these ready to replace my current sport seats.

Actually, they might be LX as they have the bigger side bolsters. These L seats came with about 3 different upper side bolsters, and 3 different bases, including non-extending leg support.

...those are ls's. LX's have pointy upper bolsters.. they actually look similar to the e30 sport seat.

OEM but supplied as Recaro brand name basically an optioned up seat. Much nice in my opinion.

they are a recaro LS "idealseat" made by recaro for bmw... i dont know what the confusion is.
