Recaro Seat Install: Need Help and ideas

I bought these Recaro seats yesterday and now today I'm attempting to install them. What would you all recommend? Custom brackets of some sort? Is there something available over the internet? Give the seats to you for free? ;) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I have an 86' 325e with the normal plain old seats so if I can steal stuff of them that's an option too.

You would be my hero if you found them. I've been searching all day. I even went to the hardware store to try and piece something together but I just don't have all the tools I need. My brother has welders, plasma cutters and cool stuff, but I've never really used any of it and he's working.

Do you think this would work??

Wow, I am loving that old school Recaro print man. If you don't mind me asking, where did you pick them up from?

To tell you the truth I really do not like the design of mine. You can simplify it much easier.
Since the sliders are on the seat all you need to do it take a piece of flat iron steel one for each side. Drill your mounting holes then weld 90° tabs on each end. Drill holes so they line up with the current slider vertical mounts. I do not have autocad loaded anymore but if you want a quick pshop let me know. Basically creating the same type of mount that is on the seat so they slide inside or outside of one another.

A little pshop would be nice so that I can show my brother what to whip up for me....although I'll likely have to pay him :( I really need to learn how to weld. I'm sure I could pick it up.

Here you go you need 2, not to scale but you get the idea. To determine the holes in the welded tabs depends how high you want your seat to be. As stated they can fit inside or outside the other brackets.

Yeah but he didn't show pictures of anything. We should get some measurements and what not posted on here so that it will help others in the future. I'm surprised it doesn't exist already.

I have a drill press and a 200 amp mig. I would not want to be liable if anything happens though.

I haven't installed them yet, we are still in the process of getting the mounting system finished and fabricated.
