Cheap Sport seats (non bmw sports)

Because i can not afford the seats i want (Corbeau CR1) i was looking for a cheaper seat and i found this site
    http://www.bucketracingseats.com/All...FQ89awodkVEjfw
and was wondering if any of you have sat in any of the seats that are <400$? and what you thought of their quality. More specificaly have you sat in a matrix seat/movano/hyperform or any of the ther other cheaper seats and your thoughts on them? I like the look of race seats and the feel, but i cant afford the highend seats and my sport seats are in need of replacing, but i dont want to buy something and have it feel like junk. let me know what you think of these seats.

Find a private wrecker instead of a crappy pick a part. Their interior bits are always well protected, and they buy better condition parts cars.

They aren't going to approved for any type of racing so I dont think anyone would waste their money. I wouldn't even put those seats in a 15 HP go kart. But I would buy a set to build a driving simulator for rally racing.

If I were you I would just go to an auto uphostery place and get your seats redone.

Yeah at 600-800pr just for a leather kit? (ah but these are vinyl....hmm...) Im sure if he could afford that he would just buy the seats he wants.

I would haunt craigslist. Cheap ones come up from time to time; you may have to Frankenstein two to get one. Yes its possible to do and no you don’t need an upholsterer to do it. Just a few tools hog rings/hog ring pliers, a heat gun, a hot sunny day, a friend and most of all patience. I have successfully done 7 series seat like that for a buddy and they came out fine.

Eshmay also has some slip on leather sprot covers for like 179 the pair. I dont know if they are any good but they might prove good for the interm..

The mans a on a budget ( i can relate) so we cant suggest throwing more money at it.

He could get both seats redone in a nice vinyl for the same price as a CR1 without shipping and bracket costs.

You have to "haunt" craigslist. It requires an ocd personality to do it right ;)

those seats are all ugly as shit. when i had a miata i had corbeau seats in it, and they were a really really good value. they werent sparco or recaro level but they were more than i expected for a 200 dollar seat. look on scca forums and road racing forums, they are ALWAYS for sale on there.

I have been contemplating these for a while now. They look pretty nice, and come with universal sliders. Plus they usually have them in tan.
