Strange smell when fan/heater turned on

When I turn the fan I get this burnt smell from the air coming out of the vents.

I turned the temperature control to max, fan to max to see if the smell would go away if I left it on for a while and it doesn't.

I checked and it doesn't seem to be a coolant leak. I'm not too familiar with the air filtration system so is there an in cabin filter that would need to be changed?

Been like this for a few days now and I don't know what would be causing the smell.

    Any ideas?
