Cabrio rear seats same as other E30 rear seats?

Shopping for replacement seats, I'd like to know if there's anything special about the convertible that would keep me from swapping other E30 rear seats in.

yeah, cabrio seats are cabrio-specific. Have a look at a cabrio and a coupe/sedan back seat and you'll see that the cabrio seats are alot narrower to accomodate the folding top mechanism on the sides, and they mount differently too.


And before some know it all brings it up, coupe + sedan back seats are slightly different, but they are interchangeable with each other. Cabrio seat needs to be replaced with a cabrio seat.

yep, only accommodates 2 (small) people instead of 3.
