    Would any gauge cluster work?

I have a 88 eta, and it is hard to find a cluster that goes up to 5500. Mine died, and I tried to change the SI batts, but I failed. Would the cluster from a 325i or 325 or even 318 work? I know the redline would be off. I could prob swap my tach, right?

As far as I know any tach will work. The tach on a 325i cluster would work but would show a higher redline. If you put a 318i tach in the tach would be wacked since it is reading pulses from 2 extra cylinders

      Awesome thank you.

Now if I put a 325i tach could I just swap my face plate from the eta cluster?
