    Sparco seat install

I am about to purchase a used sparco seat. Looks a lot like the corbeau forza. I am guessing it is Sparco's base model. I do, however, want to continue using the stock seat belt. Should I:
    a) go ahead and use a stock bracket w/slider and fabricate?
    b) could I use a Corbeau bracket/slider combo?
    or
    c) shall I just dish out some cash and buy a Sparco base and slider?

which route will be best? Any helpful suggestions are much appreciated.

    Thanks!

B, I regret not just shelling out the cash and getting the right thing the first time. Instead of wasted a bunch of money by trying to save money. Pretty dumb.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

so you think the corbeau bracket/slider combo will work with a sparco seat?

I would recommend against the Corbeau slider. I had them in my Camaro with an FX1 seat it they were HORRIBLE. Cheesy, flimsy, shit quality. They never did hold there position. After a couple autox events of the seat moving on me during runs I welded the adjuster solid.

The teeth didn't fully engage to hold the seat in position.

Do they accept side mount brackets?

i have sparco seats installed in my e30. Sparco sells sliders and mounts specifically for the e30. Check out their site. I think mine cost $250ish for both driver and passenger seat with slide adjustment. Even used the stock seatbelt.

How has the Sparco slider been? How is the height of the seat vs stock? How heavy were they?
            Thanks for any help.

get recaro side mounts... they should fit almost perfectly in the stock floor bolt holes... the sparco side mounts not so much

^ Do they sell recaro brackets for less than sparco? I tried finding them and I couldn't. Also I don't think I can use side mounts with the seat I'm getting. I will probably get the base and slider from sparco. Should cost me around $170 before shipping. If anybody knows a better price please do let me know. Thanks everyone for the assistance.

no issues with the slider, i sit a little lower than stock which i like. Overall the sparco seat, plus sparco mount/slider was quite a bit lighter than the stock seat but I dont have exact weights of each component.

Thanks. Ya lower is better. I put in a momo type wheel and it's really to small. But it'll speed the steering up without swapping racks. I think If I get the Corbeau low enough It'll be OK. Ideally I would want a rack swap and a tech2 wheel.

im not even using sliders... i just have the side mounts bolted from the seat directly to the ground... sits nice and low and is set to my brother and my seat position. If your the only one that drives the car why do you want sliders

Did you not use an adapter like the Vac seat mount adapter? You just bolted the sidemounts to the floor? I don't have a problem with that if they will bolt right down. What seat/mounts did you use?

the driver side is a recaro side mount connecting my corbeau fx1 pro to the stock e30 seat bolt holes in the floor board. the passenger side is a sparco side mount. the sparco one needed some modification... the recaro almost went straight in

I have absolutely no problems with my Corbeau sliders. I've had them for about a year an half now, and they work just fine for me.

I've used them all of last year in autocross and half of this year as well.

                              Mine aren't flimsy
