    Bolster Swap

I am thinking of switching a side bolster from a another sport seat and put on my sport which needs repairing....are there any other chassis' ie; 528, 320, etc that I could take the bolster from?

I have a yard over here that has a bunch of different bimmers and I am not to sure if any of the e30's have the color sport seats I need.

I know the sport seats from an e28 535is share the same bolsters as the e30 sport seats. Also the e24 6-series sport seats may work too.

If you only need the upper bolsters then another option you could try doing is if you find a standard e30 comfort seat in cardinal leather is to cut out the left bolster from that along with 4 or 5 inches of material from the center. I know a few people have used the material from a standard seat to repair their sport seat bolsters. It may not be a 100% perfect but I'm sure it will look way better than a torn up bolster with foam sticking out. The fit is not to far off so it definitely worth a try if you can't find anything else.

Three other options I can think of...

    1) Find the correct bolster in any other color and redye it to match. Not a bad option if you already had plans to by a Leatherique kit to restore your seats

    2) Contact Rob at Car Art Unlimited, he offers replacement bolsters for $50 last I checked

    3) Contact Kevin at Creative Options, he may offer replacement bolsters as well

I used an E24 bolster on mine. Perfect.
