    Removing bolsters?

I've got tan leather sport seats for my 87 is and the bolsters are beginning to wear. I've got a friend that has an uphulstory shop and I'm going to see if he can recover them in black vinyl "leather like" stuff. I've got black door pulls and map pockets and love the way they contrast.

So how does one remove side bolsters?

There is a thread somewhere, where a red bloster was swapped.

start taking it apart and you shall see. There are a bunch of metal spikes that you have to fold over to free it. Don't exactly remember what else you have to remove to get at it, but first just take the back cover off, 2 screws on bottom then lift it up, then you'll see what has to be done.

        Wait...upper or lower bolster?

IIRC Luke (StereoInstaller1) did this. There are pictures of hog-ring pliers and everything.
