So who has their horn working with a quick release?

So I've just bought an NRG gen 2. quick release along with a momo hub adapter to use with a Momo wheel from one of my dad's old Porsche's. I am having trouble getting my horn working.

I've got the spacing and everything working fine, in fact, I can get the horn to work when I install the wheel without the quick release. However, as soon as I put the quick release in between the hub adapter and steering wheel I cannot get the wiring figured out to make the horn work.

I know there are LOTS of steering wheel threads and believe me I have searched. None of them directly address this issue.

If your not familiar, the momo hub adapter has a built in brass ring on the back that touches the horn contact on the steering column. Protruding out the front of the adapter and attached to the brass ring in the back is a black wire. Without the quick release I just connected the black wire to the ground on my steering wheel horn button, and ran another wire from the other contact on the horn button to the silver ring provided by momo that goes between the steering wheel and hub adapter. Everything works great this way.

So the problem. I got directions with my quick release, but they were in japanese and didnt look like they applied to BMW's.
Here is a picture of the quick release and the contacts that it has built in...

On mine the two contacts in the front of the quick release (the side that stays attached to the steering wheel) are labeled plus and minus, otherwise it looks exactly the same as above. On the back of the quick release (the part that stays attached to the hub adapter) there are identical contacts labeled plus and minus.

I started by just running the black wire from the momo hub adapter into the negative terminal on the back of hte quick release. Then I connected the negative and positive terminals on the front of the quick release to the corresponding points on the horn button. I snapped the horn button in and...nothing. I've tried a couple variations of this but cannot get my horn to work

If you've got one of these or anything similar in your car, PLEASEEEE let me know how you got your horn working. While I can drive the car with no horn, I really prefer not to for safety reasons as this is my daily driver.

    Any input is greatly appreciated!!

It is a pretty simple power and ground system. I have installed a few Works Bell quick release systems (the original version of the nrg knock off) and you should have some steel plates with tabs on them for the wires to connect to. Just remember you have to have a complete circuit for it to work. The only open connection will be at the button which will connect when you press the button. Hope this helps. It's pretty simple, but I don't know of a good way of explaining it other then that.

    Cheers,
