By the windows there's these little pieces of chrome. IMO chrome should keep it's ass to the exterior, so I wanted to shadowline the the 4 pieces of interior chrome. Today I found rear window pieces on a car that appear to have been made in black, not painted. Was this aftermarket? I checked pelican parts, no pics or any info. If they are then maybe I can find the fronts for cheap somewhere, it would bother me to have originals in the rear and sprayed up front.

From my experience...all E30 M3's came with shadowline trim on the door and rear interior panels. The three '87 model 325's I have owned all had chrome trim on those panels. However, a buddy's '90 325is had shadowline trim there, and although my memory is vague I 'think' the '90 325is that I used to own also had shadowline trom on the interior panels.
I was looking thru realoem.com the other day, and they list the part numbers for the rear shadowline pieces on the coupe, but no where did I find the part number for the pieces on the coupe door panels. Heck, they don't even show that part as being separate on any of the diagrams.
I am going to try to remove mine, lightly sand them, and spray them with the same Duplicolor trim paint that I did my exterior shadowline with.Eric Giles

Wow you'd think they would continue the pattern up front with the other two pieces of trim. Oh well, looks like I'm gonna be removing door cards again.Jah bless! :pimp:Comment

Removed mine, sprayed them with rusto semi-gloss, came out looking the same as the black oem ones in the rear. Installing was fun, it was a bitch getting the trim and the window rubber matched right without rubbing the trim on install. Oh well, after a lot of getting mad at myself it looks nice, done.Jah bless! :pimp:Comment
