    Center shifter console removal?

Other then the two screws in the coin tray, what else needs to be done to remove the forward center console?

    Thanks.

There is also one screw or plastic twist rivet on each side at the very front under the dash. Be careful when removing it. The material cracks very easily.

Also, a bolt right below the center havc panel and the ebrake console needs removed.

^ What he said, you may need to pull the shift boot as well.

        Very easy to remove.

Remove the shifter boot, at the back of the console where it meets the other half there is a 10mm plastic nut. On each side, at the front (up by the throttle on the drivers side and the glove box on the pass. side) there is a plastic flat head screw. and under the fan switch there is a screw. I think it is either philips or 8mm.

That is for the e-brake console IIRC.

Yeah, I have the rear e-brake console out of the way, I just need to lift up the forward center console a little bit to run some RCA's for my subwoofer to my HU

I'll also check my Bentley when I get home to see if it has any pics.

I just wish it didn't get dark so early - I get home from work at 5:05 and it still doesn't leave much time for doing any work on the car.

I need to remove both consoles. Are there any bolts on the rear that haven't been mentioned in this thread already? I'll check the Bentley, but you fellas always seem to know a few extra subtleties.

                            Thanks

rather than starting a new thread i thought i'd add to this one. i've got all the bolts associated with pulling the front center console, now how the hell do i get then damn thing out. i've pulled reasonably hard in what seems like the logical direction, but it seems like there's something still holding it in. i'd rather not break it with the "pull really hard" method. what am i missing?
