Kick panel black box

There's a black box with wires coming out of it, any clue what it is? Might be from the previous owner, he had a handsheld cell phone kit installed. I don't want to pull it out just to find out it's important. :roll:

usually it's either an alarm system, keyless entry, or like you said, cell phone kit.

can you take a picture of it?

is tehre an apparent brand on the box?

Isn't the chime for the near-freezing temp/exceeded set speed/key in ignition clipped to that panel?
