I checked some recaros from evo 6 and they are not better if any at all, they felt heavier too. For 200 less i think i'm going to get the s2000 seats. I have them in my other car and they are awesome.
it has been done ... i have done them ....
i did it last year ..... very comfy .. and prove themselves ... my ass dont hurt anymore ... drove 500 miles straight and no pain .. LOL
here they are installed and all that good jazz!
u will be number 2 ... and am number 1!!!!
I like it but they don't seem to flow with the rest of the interior, maybe reupholstering them would do more justice.

just a thought.
reupholstering ? ???/ ... orrealy? .... why? .. they are practically brand new ... and covered in good grade leather with plenty of cushioning ...
if you are going to reupholster .. u are better spending your money on another seat ... and dont even worry about these seats
they are a bit different when u look inside with no one inside the car .... but that is the least likely reason for an individual to purchase seats ... looks alone .. pshhh ...
they arent too far off invader seats .. except these seats have the head rest portion that has the center cut out .... remember .. these seats are usually in a convertible ....
to each his own
when i still had a tan carpet and not everything installed
install involved a bit of fab work for the rear ...
the fronts magically match up with the stock mounting points ... just basically bolt it in .... but the rears are the problems
the mounting brackets are a lot longer than the stock seats mounting point ... and with the s2k mounting points .. the rears are floating in the air since the e30 floor pan has a bit of drop off behind the seats mounting points ...
so you do the math ... metal with fab and welder does magic!
:giggle:

jparkr sat in them while i had it at a shop .... they do sit very low ..... but i have not had problems with visibility or with sun light or glare ... jparkr said it would be awesome for the tall indivduals who track ... plenty of room for the helmet ...
