        At first glance it looks like it belongs in an E30, good job! And holy crap, functional cupholders. That's better than what I've got in the E39.

        Somewhere at BMW there is a guy with the single job of designing cupholders. He's an angry (German) man that hates children and Starbucks. But he sits back and laughs at work all day at the Americans trying to wiggle their Biggie Size drinks into any crevise we can think of that might resemble anything except for the plastic pieces of sh*t BMW calls cupholders.

        <end rant>

          Excellent install...I'm an instant fan and may go this route myself...I'd also like to see the gap that folks are asking about.

              You may have a girlfriend but you don't have a sportscar.

                          Is there a 'door lock button' in the e30?

                            I'm going to do this... and I think I'll make that hazard button a push button start button...

                                Hmm. For what it's worth, there's an E46 "short console" which will get you the cupholders without the armrest, and which won't extend nearly as far back. It's what I've got in my M3 because I hatehatehate the armrest height.
