Cluster Question!

I was wonder if a six cylinder cluster will work in a four cylinder car? Can the tach be changed out to make it work? Thanks for the info.

Tach and coding plug will need to be changed.

Are both cars early/late model?

I believe only the coding plug would need to be swapped. That's what I did.

They are both late cars. What is the coding plug? Thanks for what you guys have answered so far.

The coding plug is a little plastic box that slides into the front of the cluster, along the bottom under the trim piece.
