    13 button OBC

    I got this just this morning off an '85 325e, found it at a junkyard but unfortunately everything else including the dash was tore out and missing.



    My question is, I don't have the harness, could I pull that our of another car with a 13 button OBC? does it have to be off an '85 325e?? Are there differences in harnesses?

    FYI: It's going into an '89 325i

      The harness can come off any year E30, so long as the donor car came from the factory with an OBC. Change the coding plug on the back also.

          what does this do?

          when i disconnect my battery it sent my OBC all out of whack. Its flashing and in metric now wtf

              that's what I thought but wasn't sure. K, so now I gotta go find me another E30 with the 13 button and just snag the harness. Yeah, I'll just switch with my current coding plug, never given me any problems.

                  Hit the AVG MPG button then using a pen push the crossover contact in the bottom right hand corner then hit the AVG MPG again and bingo you have US readout
