    Stanley Steemer + Interior Carpet = ...

Well, a bunch of brake fluid leaked all over the carpet thanks to a leaky CMC. I was wondering if I used a carpet shampooer thing, would I be able to clean it up? I could just use a brick and some paper towels/newspaper and have all the fluid soaked up; however, the leak was long and persistent, so some of this carpet is pretty ragged.

Are there any other methods for getting the carpeting a little more clean?
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
    Mark: "You never will."

Pull it out, scrub the shit out of it (twice), then pressure wash it and let it dry in the sun.

I might just rent a Rug Doctor from the Food Lion down the street.

That won't mess it up, will it?

Time is sort of an issue, being a college kid and all...

You won't be able to get the handtool in there very well.
