I love it, it looks great!
But I think a black leather shift boot would complete everything!
and maybe some e36 window switches.

If you pulled that carpet out of the car and pressure washed it, you would be amazed at how it turned out.

I use a little cheap-o Karcher pressure washer, like $100 at Home Depot.

Keep in mind that is a bitch of a job, but that would be SO worth it.

          Keep up the good work.

It has a black leather shift boot. Perhaps you mean a leather e-brake boot?
I have already tried to convince my brother on the e36 switches... But hes not convinced he needs them yet...

Good Idea. I have a diesel powered pressure washer that reaches 250 degrees! That and a little soap and scrub... Yea I bet it would come out fairly nice!

I have never pulled carpet on an e30, but I hear its kind of a nightmare with the heater core in the way and all...

Yeah, the heater core, what a PITA. I just cut around mine, making sure it is under the center console.

My little pressure washer did fine, but yours sounds like you could cut an E30 in half with it...maybe go really gentle?

                  GL!

What's the best way to re-install the carpet after it has been removed? I mean, isn't the original carpet applied/secured with a low-tack adhesive?

No, unless you have a really early car.

The padding is conformed to the body of the car, and when you get it out you will understand what is up.
