Hey guys, im sure this is just one of those e30 quirks. Im tired of the shakey mirror. Ive tried wedging different materials between the base and the roof with no success. Has anyone just removed the mirror and glued a mirror to the windshield?

There is a glue on mirror for convertibles, but any glue on mirror/mount will work. Typical shake in an OE type mirror is just a dead bushing, which can be somewhat fixed with epoxy, albeit at the expense of future mobility. -
