seems like inspar8's HID system would be the easiast and cheapest one to get. He has special pricing for r3v members, and its plug and play so all the research is already done. http://www.mmsport.s5.com/e30.html

Says coming soon.. And the more info link is broken. Are those available already?
just to note that the Mclluloch (sp?) kit on eBay goes for 270 and shipping is like 15 bucks. Brand new. There are some members using that kit with no problems as well.

Yea, i haven't updated the site in awhile. Chris (C///M) just bought two 6000K kits from me, and the install was perfect. Alot of kits out there require that H1 kits require mods (ie, drilling holes), but in actuality, all that needs to be done is some careful wiring, and you can use the stock H1 caps.
Le tme know if you are interested is a kit. I offer both 5000K and 6000K. I believe the chromatic abberration explanation was off my website as well.
They are still using 4100-4800K bulbs in stock housings. but what they have changed is the cutoff shield behind the ellipsoidal lens. Instead of it being a straight piece of metal, it's curved. looking at it head on (through the lens), the cutoff line is flat, but looking at it from a profile view, you'll see that the reflector is curved, which alters how the light is refracted as it passes through the lens. It will do it on the e30 lenses, even though they are flat, but it won't be as noticeable as the newer projector housings.
As someone else mentioned, this will happen even with halogen housings.
There's my 5000k HID's. I was using the older e46 bosch ballasts. But now one of the ballasts decided to take a crap and die on me so I am on the look out for a set of ballasts and wiring.
