NE1 running yellow halogens in their high beams?

I recently upgraded my U.S. ellipsoids to a 35w, 4500k HIDs. My highbeams are pretty much useless now, and I'm running deletes in my fogs, and don't plan on installing fogs anytime soon.

What do guys think of running yellow 9005 halogen bulbs in my highs? Is the light disbursement of the 9005s and the highbeam reflectors suitable for giving me a fog light effect?

There are a few brands that make yellow 9005s, including Hella

i have PIAA plasma ion yellow H1 bulbs in my high beams, and pointed them downward, but they do not have the fog affect. they are too concentrated like a spot light.

If you want the orange fog lights, Mercedes W123 lights work. Lunno if they work with ellipsoid buckets though.

From my research, W123s won't fit the ellips buckets, only sealed beam buckets, which is why I'm considering the yellow 9005 bulbs.

Yeah, that makes sense. No matter what bulbs you use, though, you will end up with a light pattern very similar to the pattern you already have. Which is to say, you will be blinding everyone else in front of you. Won't do much in fog, either; the reason fogs work is because the light is very low and horizontal so there is less area to reflect back at you.

            Get these -

I've got the 65W version of them in my E34 paired up with 5000K 35W HIDs and they really compliment the HIDs nicely.
