    Need some help installing HID's!

I bought an HID kit for DDMtuning.com for some US ellipsoids and they just got here today and after playing around with them for about an hour I still had no luck getting them to work. I did get everything hooked up and all but when I turned the lights on..nothing happened. So if anyone that has installed some 9006 HID's in their US Ellips before could please give me a good write-up on how to do it, I would be VERY grateful as I would really like to get these in ASAP.

P.S. if the order of hooking wires up is neccessary please include in order, as well as where you mounted your ballast.

    THANK YOU!

Did you recently swap to US ellipsoids and recently spliced in the 9006 connectors? I noticed you have a 91 318is. You would have had sealed beams and 3 wires begin with, so make sure you have the 2 correct ones (12V and ground).

Otherwise, you likely got your input wires (original headlight wiring) into the ballast backwards.

you need to also make sure that you didn't just blow your 7.5a fuses for your low and high beams. take the HID bulbs out and put the halogens back in, do they still work?

i upgraded to US ellips and got the 55w DDM HID kit and the installation took me less than 15 minutes.

I know my 7.5a fuses for the low and high beams aren't blown because the halogen's do work when they are installed.

And I shouldn't have any problems because I bought some plug and play wires, which fit directly with the stock wiring. I'm beginning to think I'm messing up somewhere in my wiring.

I read on the installation sheet from DDM that you need to kill the battery power or something like that, I didn't do that step, so could this affect me?

i missed that step too but mine installation went off without a hitch. disconnect every connection and reconnect. may also have a defective kit.

I've tried connecting and disconnecting in between each attempt to install it. Still no results though...
