What is going on with my HID's?

So I am having some problems installing my HID kit for my US ellipsoids. I have pictures of what my setup looks like prior to placing the lights into the front:

What exactly is the problem? Everything is hooked up correctly, you just need to plug the short adapter harness into the correct terminals on the low beam plug on your car. You can clean the install up a bit by plugging the adapter harness directly into the ballast and removing the harness provided with the hid bulb. Also cut off the rubber seal disc.
