e30 fog light out??? HELP PLEASE?

so i noticed that my pass. fog light was out so i went and bought 2 new h1 bulbs and installed. NOW...i turned the fogs on and the pass. is still out!!!
so now where do i start to solve this problem????
id appreciate any help!!!

Is power getting to the light itself (connected in the engine compartment)? Is the fuse good? Is there a bad relay?

I had the same issue. It turned out to be that the the ground wire running right into the plug (on the fog light itself) was worn out.

Fog lights take H3's not H1's.

Also, on the inside of the housing, the ground plate plug can get loose/rusty/corroded tot he point where it doesn't make good contact anymore.

Correct--and don't buy the crap Sylvania bulbs from your local auto supply store. I went thru three bulbs in a matter of months until I ordered them from Pelican. They still say Sylvania, but haven't had a problem with them.
