Well, I was disappointed that some lights I bought had more pitting than anticipated, I decided to do some reading and tackle the project.
My friend and I firstly cleaned the lights with scratch-x and rubbing polish, hoping it would do something to remove the pitting.
This did little, but I was next going to do the clear coat that other members described as successful.
before I sprayed the clear, I rubbed the lights with a wet towel, and noticed that the water Made ALL of the pitting go away, however, it dried up, and returned the lights to their normal state.
nextt I Sprayed the clear, and it did successfully remove pitting, but after a minute, when they dried. the Clear was SLightly foggy, making the Glass look dim a bit.
I am hoping that there are more clear "clear coats" that I could use. Also how would I remove the clear from the Ellipisoids? or will there always be a minimal fog, no matter what the clearcoat.
If it matters I used a laquer clear coat.
Pictures will come
