I've had my DDM kit on for a couple of months and everything is working out great... knock on wood. Did they changed their site recently... when i bought my kit a while ago their site was different, and they had a non "slim" kit that was like $45 or so for 55W. Either way, they are still cheap no matter which way you slice it.

My opinion on all of this is this... $25 (the cost of new bulbs) is not worth my time to try and get free replacements. You make a phone call, and no matter how helpful they are you still have to send them your old one. So you drive over to the PO pay to send it out, and then wait. A few weeks later you get the replacements in the mail, and all is well b/c you got a $10 bulb for free. And thats the best case scenerio. What if the first phone call doesnt go smoothly... what if you have to make a couple of calls to finally get them to play ball? What if it takes more than few weeks to get a new one sent? What if after all the trouble you went through they get back to you and tell you that there is a finger print on the bulb and they can not send you a replacement?

If i were in your shoes... i'd call to see what the options are and if they want you to send back the defective bulb, let them know that its not what you want to do and the hassle isnt worh it for just a bulb. Tell them you'll buy another set instead, and suggest that you should get a discount. If they are a smart company, this would insure repeat business for them. If not... you'll have two whole bulbs to go through before you can take your business elsewhere for bulbs and or HIDs.

Yeah def not worth the hassle man. Just get them new and see if they'll take like $5 off the price or something.

I still think it would be good just to have a spare set lying around, cause if this were to happen to the headlights, you would be out until they sent you the replacements or you a bought another set, either way - time is money. either way its worth it ...

DDM HIDs are not bad at all. Me and 3 of my buddies rock their 55 watt kit. They have worked for about a year with little to no problems. The only thing Ive noticed is that once in a while one side flickers and doesn't fully turn on but after a quick off and on they work fine so no big deal.

On the warranty side, Ive dealt with them many times about defect parts or wrong parts, they usally take forever but if you can talk to one of the managers, things should get resolved pretty easily.

oh BTW Im running some ebay light bulbs, the color temps didn't match to well on the ddm kit, 4500+6000 = poop

sorry old post but i also have their older version non slim 35w kit lo's, ive had them since about january 08' works well until about a week ago one side went out and the other bulb does flicker. but i have to turn them on..and off... but for about 3-4 times before they start working.. i switched the ballasts over to see if it was the bulb or ballast but it does the same with both ballasts, i believe its the bulb but i called them and they said i need a wiring harness because not enough power through the wires.. anyone have any input on this?
