    Ebay Headlights, bad quality?

Has anyone here upgraded to a pair of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33710
I've been looking at these for a while, but i'm still questioning their quality. I know their not bosh or hella, but could they still be a good choice for replacement since this is new and the used hella/bosh pairs go for just the same amount or more?

They're most likely made by Depo. They're POS quality. Just ask any body who has them.

Although I have never seen the Depo ellipsoids for the E30, I do have a set of their euro ellipsoids on my E36. Now I know they are two different types of headlight assemblies, but the quality of the E36 Depo's is not POS. Are they of the same quality as Hella, Bosch, or ZKW? No, but for the price they are pretty good. Definitely way better than the crappy plastic lens headlights the U.S. E36's got from the factory.

If the E30 Depo's are built like the E36 one's are, then I personally would not hesitate buying them for my car-and at some point, I probably will. Put it this way-I bet their lighting output is better than the halogen sealed beams that I currently have!

The Depo ones just aren't worth the price when you can get quality used bosch or hella ones.

It's good to hear both sides of the story. Anyone else like to jump in and give me a bit more insight.

How about some input from someone that's actually got a pair? :)

i dont have a pair, but i do have a set of Cibie E-Code H4 Mains and H1 High beams.
Would prolly run close to $200 but i love mine.

My buddy does have the Depo lights on his e36m3, seems to work great for him.

I've seen his in person twice and talked to him about them. He said that he can't stop them from fogging up inside, and that the adjuster screws are absolutley crap on them.

What are the ambient conditions where you guys live? Any chance it's a weather dependent issue?

They fog up any time it rains.

I live in Boise, ID. We get 11" of rain here a year.

Tara's are fogged up all the freaking time.
