City lights as turn siganls?

anyone ever wire up city lights ans turn signals?

with existing signals in place?



or should i just wire them up to come on with the low beams...i dont think that Us cars have a city light function switch inside...right?

Euro-cars don't have a city light switch either. They come on when the light switch is in the 'park' or intermediate position. The turn signals on the bumper are just that, turn signals; they are only illuminated when flashing.
If you have city lights, the easiest way to wire them up would be to splice them into the parking light leads. And yes, then they would flash when actuating the turn signals.

so even if spliced into the parking light leads, they would flash only when the signal is blinking and would be on otherwise all the tie with the headlamp switch in "park" or headlights on?

US cars have three wires to the parking lights:
1. Ground
2. Constant On (Parking light)
3. Flashing (to the blinker relay)

Euro cars have four wires:
1. Ground to City lights (to Headlight buckets)
2. Constant On to City lights (to Headlight buckets)
4. Ground to Turn Signals (on Bumper)
3. Flashing (On Bumper, through blinker relay)

Depending on which hot lead from the US harness you tap into for your city lights, they will either become flashers or parking lights, but not both, assuming you are using the European two-contact connectors. However, if you convert your city-light plugs to a three-contact (US) connector and directly splice them to the bumper-mounted parking light harness you should be able to get them to act the same as those.
