    HID bulbs - whats good/bad?!

Any of you guys here running HIDs have a preferred brand/vendor you use? My car came with some sweet 6000k HIDs (from unknown source), have run them for about three months now and one of the bulbs is already shitting the bed. Not sure how much use they got before I owned them, but it's time for new bulbs.

There are a ton of different places to get them online, I know. Share your good/bad experiences!

I hate buying inexpensive crap that doesn't last but naturally don't want to over pay either. Anyone?
    Thanks!

ddmtuning.com has been pretty good, and is kind of a standby on these forums. Search! there's a lot of threads on this

I think the DDM 55w 5000k kit is full of win.

Another DDM Tuning fanboy here. Nice quality kits, very small ballasts, and I have yet to have a problem with one of these kits.

On a side note, from my personal experience, I don't think the 55w kits are worth the premium. An increase in light output is negligible.

I have 35w 6k in my trunk. I can put 35w in one side and 55w in side and let you compare it?

thanks for the reviews. I think i'll stick with the 6000k like what I'm running now. they have some great prices but makes me wonder of the quality/longevity. I'm going to just grab a set of bulbs and see how it goes. Can't go wrong for the price! thanks for the input!

I am using their 35w 6000K as well.

When I finally order a set for the wifes car, I am gonna order 2, just to have a spare!

Yea, I have the 35w 6000k apexcone setup atm. Are the Apexcone ballasts crappy? Was going to just get bulbs. Maybe I should get the whole shabang. Have to see what the finances will look like next week. thanks!
