Lic plate light problem!

Just a quick ? Guys i replaced my lic plate lights with LED bulbs they work great the only problem is that now my check light keeps flashing it keeps telling me the lights arent working but they are any of you guys ever had this problem ?????????? Thanks for the help !

id guess its because the license plate light bulbs are missing and have been replaced with some other shit.

Someone correct me if otherwise, but the LED uses less current than a conventional filament bulb, so the check light mistakenly thinks the bulb is missing/blown.
