    Passenger side blinkers dont work.

The passenger side blinkers and front running light doesent work on my 86 eta. I checked all my fuses and they looked fine. Some welding was done on that side of the car though. Is there some sort or relay or something that i need to check that could be blown? Thanks guys

Check the condition of the plug going to the light fixture. They are often corroded, not making good contact.

This is unlikely because it effects both front and rear turn signals and wasent a problem till after i worked on the car. I dont get a fast blink when i turn that direction i get no blink. This is also the side that was welded on both front and rear. Im thinking that because an electric welder was used that something could be blown?

I will look for an inline resistor or something but i dident touch the wiring since the last time it worked.

Did you check the turn signal relay? It is right underneath the plastic piece below the steering wheel. Take that plastic cover off and turn your turn signal on, give the relay a good flick or two, you might get it to kick on. If it does click then you know it is just the relay that is bad.

It is a very ghetto fix but when I was first driving around at 16 and didn't know squat about my car I used to hit the steering wheel to get the blinker to work.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

I checked the turn signal relay and swapped it with a known working one with no success. Afterward i reviewed the wireing to the front turn signal/running light and found that the wires had been damaged inside the connector. I fixed it and now the front turn signal and running light work but the rear turn signal still doesent work.
