Woah nevermind, had no idea HID kits were getting so cheap in the last year.

I'll grab a set off ddmtuning.com they seem to have a good rep.

They just went on sale too for $35/set. You can't even buy regular Silverstar bulbs for that kind of pricing and doesn't even get close to the Lumens output of HID's. ;)

I still laugh at people that buy $70-$100 PIAA Bulbs these days.

I couldn't bring myself to order the Raptor $35 ones, others were complaining about DOA's. I used to sell electronics and can't stand companies that let that shit get out the door.

Got the DDM 35 watts, hope I like 'em. When I got my vert a few weeks ago I was all stoked they had the elips, then when it was time to use them I couldn't believe how dim they were. I wanted to get the 55w, but just didn't feel like spending $10 more; others had said it wasn't much difference.

If they are nice I might throw a set in my wife's e46 wagon.

You didn't feel like spending ten bucks more? :???: I'm as poor as the next guy, but seriously?

Your reflector bowls' reflective coating is probably flaking off. You may want to try and replace the reflector bowls, adding HIDs will make it brighter yeah but if you've got a shoddy beam pattern it's not going to fix that.
          paint sucks

Glad you said that. I had heard mumblings about reflectors but not much real meat to the info.

Do you have more info on that?

You made the right choice. After a couple bad experiences with Raptor, I always recommend people spend the $30 extra for the regular DDM branded HID's. They also have a lifetime warranty over the Raptor's 1 year warranty.

I have the standard 35 watt slim DDMs, in 5K.

They are MUCH brighter than my high beams in the US ellipsoids.

As far as I am concerned, these lights are just about perfect.

I'm very happy with my 4300k 35w kit from www.xtremehids.com

I only wish I'd gone with the 55w...wonder the stock wiring would have handled the extra juice?
