    late fogs on early model

how can i wire the late fogs onto a 86 eta? i tried plugging in the fogs into the harness already and put in fuses and the relay, but they still arent turning on. and the fog light on the dash goes on.

Check the bulbs? Get yourself a volt meter and see if you have power going to the fog light. This happened to me when installing my ellips. Plugged them in and only half of them worked. Power was going to all of them. Bought new bulbs and "POW" there was light.

If this is not the case then use your volt/multimeter to track down the problem of where there is and is not power.

im getting voltage to the wires that i plug into the harness. but when i connect the wires to the plugs on the back of the fog light the ground wire shows that it isnt working according to my multimeter.

whats the best way to connect wires?

So you're saying you have a ground before you plug it in, then once you plug it in you dont anymore????? Also, make sure your headlights are on, otherwise the fogs wont turn on.

Are your bumpers tucked? If so, make sure the wires aren't pinched...

So do you have a good ground or not? Do your old fogs work?

make sure you dont have the Hgh beams on too. Fogs only work with low beams

Change the meter to resistance, (not V)... put one lead on frame rail. make sure it is a bare metal surface. Maybe a bumper shock bolt or something. Then put the other lead on the wire you have for the plug that does NOT have power. it seems like youre having some difficulty to this.
