    Repainting tails!

    I need help not in painting them but in taking the previous paint off... the previous owner did them but sorta shity they are turning white.. they are smoked and i been told if i repaint them red on top of the smoked red its gotta get darker for the lights to show.. what should i use to take the paint of to repaint them??

    Hrm. I would sand lightly with some fairly fine sand paper so as not to gouge/deep scratch the plastic. It'll be a bitch, but it'll work. Then re-spray.

        Id go back to stock. Stock looks good on dark color cars.

          I painted my tails all red on my black e30 and next year I'm definitely switching back to stock.

            Wipe them down with normal cheap paint thinner. 95% of the cheap Testors paint he (obviously) used will come off.

              Stock on dark cars? I've always really appreciated the all reds on darker cars. Now stock on Alpine, that's a look where I really don't mind the stock tails. Although I'm really considering going all reds as well on the Alpine 318is DD...

                    I used a small buffer and compound to clean off previous
                    paint and tinted with niteshades
