    Removing Ellipsoid Lens

Alright, so I managed to crack the reflector in my Ellipsoid. How do I remove the lens from the rest of the Ellipsoid? I assume it involves sticking it in the oven, etc, but I would appriciate a step-by step so I dont completely lose my money on these.
Also, if anyone has a spare US ellipsoid reflector they would like to sell, that would be fantastic.

What did you use to glue the new lens on?

I cut off the plastic lip on the outer edge with a side snip(dykes)for the politically incorrect, heat them with a heat gun, and cut into it along the edge with a very sharp cutting blade. have done a bunch of them to make black elips. the brights are a litllele harder cause they have the metal housing, but its the same principle there to.

At what temperature did you set the oven to remove the lenses?

Edit: Thanks for responding to my PM BavarianBimmer: for the archives

couple of minutes at 180C or about 350F in a hot air oven

apparently you have to be careful as to not damage the plastic housings doing this!
