    E36 window switch

I dont think this is a repeated question. If it is, please let me know, as I cant find any info on this.

I have 4 e36 switches in my car, since I have a cab.

2 of them light up (LED style)
2 of them are out (bulb style - burned out)

now I tried reading the LED resistor value on the switch, but I've always had trouble reading it. What values is the resistor to light up per OEM intensity? is there different ones?

hence I'm trying to wire in two LED in to the bulb type switches. I'm thinking just soldering the resistor to the LED, is there a more "correct" way to do it? please enlighten.

I am after this value of resistor as well. Take a Multimeter and place the Red lead on one end of the resistor and take the other and place it on the end. Set the meter to measure OHM's and report back. If no meter send me the switch in the mail and I will use my meter and report back.
